William Clay has been a part of the Premier Parking team in some capacity since 2010. Having previously worked as Premier’s Chief Financial Officer from 2010-2013, Vice President from 2016 to August 2018, and recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer, William is familiar with all facets of the parking business.
William, as COO, leads the operational and growth objectives by developing client relationships, spreading growth initiatives and ensuring operational excellence and consistency across all existing operations throughout the nation. William opened up Premier’s Dallas and Ft. Worth offices in 2016 and was the head of Premier’s operating cities in the West Coast – a territory consisting of over 75 parking operations in 13 cities, including on of Premier’s largest portfolios in Austin, TX until August of 2018.
As CFO, William was not only responsible for reporting the tremendous growth of Premier that more than quadrupled in size during his tenure, but also for improving and introducing new finance and accounting processes and procedures to sustain the growth. Understanding the back-end processes and procedures, William can perform even more effectively in his current role in operations and development, and is leading Premier’s growth initiatives in numerous markets.
William comes to Premier with an educational and professional background in accounting and finance with experience in the energy industry in Texas, in addition to the parking industry. He graduated Cum Laude from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy
William is a member of the Urban Land Institute, International Parking Institute, National Parking Association, Texas Real Estate Council and Austin Real Estate Council. In 2012, he was named as a finalist for CFO of the Year in Nashville, and was recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of Nashville’s Top 30 under 30. In 2017, William received National Parking Association’s 40 Under 40 award. William lives in Dallas, TX with his wife and their three girls and they’re involved in a number of not-for-profit organizations benefiting the under-privileged.
