Lora Pfeffer
Lora Pfeffer brings a unique perspective to the Premier Team, combining extensive legal and business experience, largely focused on the healthcare industry. As Premier’s Vice President of Healthcare Sales and Development, Lora brings much needed solutions to facilities across the country, implementing impactful cost cutting programs, while improving patient satisfaction and streamlining the hospital experience.
In 2009, Prior to joining the Premier Team, Lora managed the Far North Texas Region for Medline Industries’ Physician Office Division, implementing distribution channels to ensure the successful movement of millions of different items throughout the supply chain. Working with a broad range of clients, including Baylor Scott & White, Texas Health Resources, Methodist Health System, among others, Lora’s Division grew over a hundred million dollars in sales dollars during her time with Medline.
Successful navigation of the intricate world of Group Purchasing Organizations is key to the development of Premier Parking’s healthcare portfolio, branded “Premier Care”. Lora’s in-depth knowledge allows Premier to connect with thousands of facilities across the country, including the largest hospital system in the nation, HCA. This critical knowledge dates back to Lora’s time as a Lead Negotiator with the former GPO, MedAssets, where her responsibilities on the Pre-Commit team included contracts exceeding $50 million in annual spend. Her work with Tenet, Christus, Kaiser Permanente, Kindred, and others netted double digit savings, translating to hundreds of millions across the group’s members.
Lora lives in Frisco, Texas, with her husband and two children. She graduated with honors from The University of Oklahoma, completing both her business degree and juris doctorate degree, including a semester of law school studying abroad at Oxford University. Lora maintains her legal license as a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, actively participating in the Real Property and Oil and Gas Law sections.
What’s the coolest place you’ve ever visited? The south of Spain (Alicante).
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An anesthesiologist, like my next door neighbor (because it was the longest word I knew as a little kid).
Given the choice of anyone in the world, who would you like to have as a dinner guest? Russell Westbrook – even as a Mavs fan for life, Westbrook is my favorite NBA player; I love the way his mind works!
