Jim Rogers joined the Premier team in September of 2017 as the Vice President of Texas and Oklahoma, bringing 20 years of valet and commercial parking experience. Having started his career as a valet and growing organically inside a fast-paced company, he brings a wealth of experience in talent acquisition and readiness. Jim has a strong record of developing leaders and is passionate about teaching and educating those around him.
Jim’s career started with a nationally operating company as a part-time valet in 1997 while attending Salisbury University. Jim quickly saw a promotion to be a supervisor and again as Assistant Manager. He then relocated to Florida where he ultimately came to oversee multiple accounts in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale markets, and again to Dallas, TX in 2008, where he was responsible for the success of some of the largest accounts in the company. After being promoted to District Manager in 2012, Jim was responsible for a market with more than 20 accounts and over 500 employees. Jim spent 2015 through mid-2017 as Vice President of National Operations for a second parking company, overseeing 200 accounts across a diverse portfolio ranging from airports, Class A office, surface lots, and entertainment venues.
Today, as Vice President at Premier Parking, Jim Rogers oversees our company’s Texas and Oklahoma market operations and leads business development efforts for the local team. Jim currently resides in Austin, TX with his wife and twin daughters.
What was your first paying job? I was a dishwasher at an Italian deli.
Name one thing that’s true that almost nobody agrees with you on. That documentaries are awesome!
If you could wake up tomorrow having gained one quality or ability, what would it be? To be more artistic. I signed up for an art class in high school and the first day we had to draw a bowl of fruit. The second day the teacher gave me a pass to the office to sign up for another class, I wasn’t going to pass.
