Bob Chapman serves as Vice President of Design & Consulting for Premier Parking, with primary focus on being a resource to our client’s for their parking needs in development and on-going improvement of their parking assets. In this role, Bob oversees all information delivered to Premier’s clients on a wide range of parking industry specific requirements necessary to plan for or improve their parking operations. His areas of expertise include financial feasibility, master planning, functional and facility design, technology, way-finding and operational improvement of complex parking facilities. Bob’s experience from both design and real world operations allows him to draw from “lessons learned” in all aspects of parking development and to pass this knowledge on to our clients.

Prior to joining Premier Parking, Bob served as a Principal for several large engineering firms that specialize in parking development. During this time, Bob came to be widely acknowledged in the real estate industry as one of the world’s leading parking experts. He has consulted on projects from Barcelona Spain to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He is a co-author of several chapters of the published Dimensions of Parking, a combined publication of the Urban Land Institute and the National Parking Association. Elected to the Parking Consultants Council (PCC) of the National Parking Association in 2007, Bob has been involved in the development of multiple PCC publications.

During his tenure at Premier, Bob has been involved in the expansion of multiple Premier operating cities, including Houston, Seattle and Austin. This role also included overseeing day-today operations for large parking portfolios with emphasis in office and healthcare markets.

Throughout his 27-year parking career, Bob has had impact in all phases of parking development from initial concept plans to the potential improvements of an existing facility’s operation. His recommendations have led to more efficient operations, better customer understanding and service and most importantly the best possible return to our clients.

What is something most people don’t know about you? I am really good at home remodeling…even my own wife doesn’t know this about me!

What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning? To let the dog out, but also working with the Premier family
